From the Legislative Committee:
The Enforcement Division of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife & Fisheries have submitted their recommendations for the Big Snake & Venomous Regulations that were written by the Louisiana Reptile & Amphibian Task Force.  Their position is for Louisiana residents to have the necessary permits on restricted snakes before you purchase these reptiles.  We will contact our members & subscribers the LGCHS list server to let you know when the LA DWF Commissioners will meet to discuss these regulations.

October was a very busy month for LGCHS. We participated in Wild Things at Big Branch in Lacombe,  the North Shore show,  the Gila Productions show in Mandeville,  a Cub Scout troup presentation and Snakes n' Things. Many thanks to the loyal members who pitched in and helped us keep this full schedule.  The exciting news is that the income from these events has advanced our projector fund sufficiently to purchase a projector.  Thanks again to all that helped.
