April Meeting

Monday,  April 11  7:00 PM at the Audubon Louisiana Nature Center - New Orleans East  -  directions

Dr. Roberto Agilar,  senior veterinarian at the Audubon Zoo,   will give us a presentation on alligator gastroscopy.  Dr. Elizabeth Hammond prepared this paper and presented it at the national meeting of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians.  It is the cutting edge of crocodilian practice!  It is unique as far as the handling of 9 to 11 foot alligators.  Dr. Agilar will also share some interesting information on amphibians.

Last Meeting

Dr Haley Burke Addressed the Invertebrate connection. She shared her experience treating a tarantula in her practice as well as other useful information for the invertebrate keeper

Fred Mattingly,  the LGCHS president,  discussed computer and internet resources for herp and invertebrate enthusiasts. Both sessions enjoyed a small but attentive audience.
