June Meeting
This will be the first of 2 LGCHS show, swap and sell events this year. Bring your surplus animals and strike up a deal
with another member or just bring anything you want to show off.
Last Meeting
Last month we had our first crawfish boil with 43 attendees. Everyone had a great time. Among those attending was one of our
advisors, Laura Maloney of the LA SPCA. She accepted a donation from LGCHS for the SPCA. Kudos & thanks to all that helped,
including Lonnie Senior for heading it up, David Chaisson for heading the crawfish round up, Jay Vincent for getting the crawfish
and bailing out the crawfish round up crew, and especially Ralph Latapie for his expert preparation of the main course. Mitch
Allen won the door prize, a $40 gift certificate donated by Double MM Feed. Cindy Lemoine won second prize, a juvenile tarantula
donated by Rod Oliveri.

From the Legislative Committee:
For our Mississippi neighbors: You need an All-Game Hunting License, $18.85, to collect native Mississippi
reptiles. If you are from out of state (Louisiana residents), you will need a non-residence All Game License which can
be purchased from Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks, for $303.85.
The limit for possession is 4 per taxa. If you are collecting for scientific purposes, you need to contact
Tom Mann or call 601-354-6367 ext. 116 for more information. There are no
statewide regulations for exotic venomous or large constrictors. However there are a few local municipalities that do have
regulations.
