- The nominating Committee elected at the March Meeting
- The nominating committee will work March through September interviewing members and selecting perspective board members
- Nominations presented at the September meeting
- Alternative nominations open from September meeting until October 1
- Alternative slate presented at the October Meeting in one exists
- Election will be held at the November meeting as per the charter
- Nominating committee
- The nominating committee will consist of 3 members
- The nominating committee chairman will be appointed by the board
- 2 nominating committee members will be elected by majority vote of members present at the March meeting
- A nominating committee member may not be placed in nomination
- A nominating committee member must be a member in good standing as of October 1 of the previous year
- Alternative slate
- If the membership or a portion of the membership feels that they were not properly represented by the nominating
committee they may place an alternative slate in nomination.
- The slate must have the same number of nominees as the slate presented by the nominating committee
- The slate may have some of the nominees presented by the nominating committee
- Requirements to make a nomination
- Nominator must be a member in good standing as of October 1 of the previous year
- Nominator must have the permission of the nominee to make the nomination
- A member may nominate only one slate
- Requirements of Nominee
- Nominees must be a member in good standing as of October 1 of the previous year
- Nominees must give the secretary his acceptance in writing
- Nominees must understand that a position on the LGCHS board is a position of responsibility, not a position of authority
- Nominees should be prepared to devote at least 10 hours per month to the organization participating in board meetings,
regular meetings, project work, and other activities
